Flight School.
OCFC has been training pilots since 1981 at John Wayne Airport (SNA), Orange County, California: an active commercial airport with Class C airspace, airline traffic, and real ATC from day one.
That environment produces pilots who don’t just pass checkrides; they’re ready for the cockpit from the moment they’re hired.

Instructors Who've Been In the Cockpit,
Not Just the Classroom

Every OCFC CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) brings real-world airline and commercial experience to your training. You’re not being taught by someone who read it in a book. You’re being taught by someone who flew it, navigated it, and made real decisions at 8,000 feet.
What you’ll actually develop:
- Aeronautical decision-making that holds up under pressure
- Deep aircraft systems knowledge, not mere surface-level
- Professional cockpit communication and discipline
- Situational awareness that becomes second nature
Questions? Cleared for landing.
Can I just do the Ground School in India without going to the USA for flying?
Yes. OCFC GAA’s Ground School is a standalone program. You receive a certificate upon completion that is recognized globally. You can then choose OCFC USA, an affiliated university, or any other flight school for your flight hours.
What licenses does OCFC GAA prepare me for?
DGCA (India), FAA (USA), and EASA (Europe). The Ground School curriculum is aligned to all three.
What's the minimum eligibility to start?
Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (or equivalent) for CPL. Class 10 is sufficient to begin PPL-track. Minimum age is 16 to start; 18 for PPL and CPL.
Is financing available?
Yes. Education loan options are available through Yes Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
What happens after Ground School?
You have three paths: train at OCFC’s facility at John Wayne Airport in California, join one of OCFC’s affiliated institutions, or take your OCFC Ground School certificate to any flight school of your choice worldwide.
