The CFII is an add-on rating to your existing CFI certificate. With it, you can teach instrument flying — one of the most in-demand instructor specializations in aviation. Instrument-qualified instructors are needed everywhere, and the CFII puts you ahead of the line.
Prerequisites
Current FAA Certificated Flight Instructor certificate (Airplane — ASE or AME)
Minimum Class III Medical Certificate (valid) — Basic Med is acceptable
CFII written exam (preferred, not mandatory)
